Student Government Association (SGA)

Welcome to DCCC!

On behalf of the Student Government Association, welcome to DCCC! Whether you are stepping onto campus for the first time or heading into your last year, this looks to be another exciting year at Davidson County Community College.

Yesika Zelaya

The Student Government is here to serve you as you further your education.  Our mission is to connect you with other students, different facets of campus, and the community as a whole.  It is our belief that through partnership, our college and community will become stronger entities.

There are several initiatives that Student Government has been diligently working on for the upcoming school year.  Some of the more popular events and programs include: Welcome Week, National Voter Registration Day, Evening Student Appreciation Night, Fall Fest, and Spring Fling.  Academics come first here; however, we do have countless student organizations ranging from academic, social, athletic, and service.  You’ll definitely learn life skills (and have fun!) through club participation.

Don't forget to check out OrgSync, your source for student engagement and campus life at DCCC!  If you are looking to join a student organization or want to know what events are happening on campus, simply log in using your same StormTrac username and password.

Remember, you are always invited and welcome to voice any concerns at our student government council meetings held every other Monday beginning September 14 from 3-4 p.m. in the Reich auditorium.  Alternatively, should you have any questions, please stop by the SGA Office in the Brooks Student Center, room 118-A (in the student lounge) or call us at (336) 249-8186 ext. 6152.

Once again, it is my sincere pleasure to welcome you to Davidson County Community College.

We look forward to serving you this upcoming year.
