Paramedic (Evening Class)
This course, the first of two blocks, is designed to educate students who have completed an EMT-Basic program to the paramedic level of care provision. Invasive skills and comprehensive assessments are taught to enable the student to provide advanced life support to the ill or injured patient. Students do course work online and meet on campus Tuesday's and Thursday's from 6-10 p.m.
Special admissions procedures are required for this course:
- proof of HS/GED completion
- proof of EMT Basic certification
- placement scores indicating college-level academic readiness in reading, writing and math skills or exemption based on documented college level English and math courses. SEE DIANE HEDGECOCK IN THE PUBLIC SAFETY BUILDING, OFFICE 112 FOR A TESTING PERMISSION FORM.
Students in face-to-face and hybrid courses must be in attendance and recorded as present at least one time on or before the census date of 3/29/2018.
