DCCC to Offer Personal Enrichment Courses
April 14, 2015 – Davidson County Community College is offering personal enrichment courses throughout the spring. For a complete course listing and full course descriptions and codes, refer to the DCCC website, www.davidsonccc.edu/learn4life.
This stained glass class will accommodate novice to advanced stained glass students in learning basic techniques to honing skills in cutting, grinding, soldering and advanced techniques. Project patterns may be students’ own or selected from class patterns and can be fabricated in either copper foil or leading method.
Tuesdays, April 21 – May 26
6-9 p.m., Thomasville Education Center
Mosaic Glass Workshop
Learn about mosaic designs and techniques to create a unique mosaic piece. Students will learn the difference between direct and indirect methods of fabrication; what types of items can be used and how to incorporate these in projects; and how to use glass cutters and wheeled nippers.
Saturdays, April 25 – May 2
10 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Thomasville Education Center
Photography Tips for Beginners
This class will teach students how to use their cameras and how to improve photography skills out of program modes, subject composition and lighting. Topics will include camera settings, shooting techniques, basic accessories and advanced techniques.

Photoshop for Beginners
Photoshop for Beginners will teach students the fundamentals of Adobe Photoshop in a classroom setting, with easy to follow demonstrations. Learn how to set up your work environment, open files and perform various editing functions that Photoshop has to offer.

Go to the Business and Records Center (second floor of the Brooks Student Center Building) to register. Registrants may pay by cash, check or credit card (VISA, MasterCard or Discover). Make all checks payable to DCCC.
Call the Registration/Records office at 336-249-8186, ext. 4545 or directly at 336-224-4545 to register. Be prepared to give a credit card number and expiration date along with the course number. (The course number is listed immediately following the online course description.)
