DCCC Acrylix Club to Host Silent Art Auction
April 10, 2013 – Students in the Arcylix Club at Davidson County Community College hope to show off their talents – and sell some of their original work – as part of the group’s Silent Art Auction. The event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on April 11 in the Brooks Student Center on the Davidson Campus. The event is open to the public.
The auction will feature several acrylic, oil and photography pieces. Proceeds from the sale will go to support the education of the student artists.
“We are excited to showcase the pieces we’ve been working on,” says Aaron Adkins, Acrylix president. “We hope to draw interest from not only students, faculty and staff on campus, but also the community.”
Only cash will be accepted for purchases. Art may be taken home the night of the sale; students, faculty and staff may have their purchases delivered the next day on campus as well.
