Fire Prevention Level II Standard Inspection

Following the Code Officials Qualification Board’s recommended syllabus, this course meets the requirements of G.S. 143-151.13 for inspector certification. This course is designed for those who have the responsibility of inspecting existing buildings (excluding high rise and hazardous occupancy) in the following Occupancy Classifications: Business, Small Assembly, Mercantile, Residential, and Storage. The primary objective of this course is for the individual to gain a working knowledge of the Code as it applies to Fire Prevention inspections of existing buildings and to readily apply the Code to problems. The course fulfills the Code Officials Qualification Board’s prescribed training course to gain admission to the qualifying examination for a Standard Certification up to and including Level II. The student may, however, elect to sit for Levels I or II examination after completing the Level III course.
