The Small Business Summit: Innovation in Business & Marketing is a full-day event featuring innovators in business, marketing practices, and community development.  Opening speaker, Leslie Boney, of UNC, brings vast experience as a researcher and coordinator of campus and community engagement to increase responsiveness to community needs.  Following will be an Innovation in Business panel which will include representatives from various organizations and businesses, showcasing creativity in business development.  Keynote speaker, Brandi Temple, Founder and CEO of Lolly Wolly Doodle, will discuss her growth through cutting edge social media marketing and online sales.  The day will be concluded by an interactive session on online marketing.  The co-owners of iMedia NC will lead participants to discover the potential in social media applications.

Each of our presenters represents a unique perspective in business.  Lyle Estill will bring his knowledge of double cropping with solar energy and is the founder of Piedmont Biofuels.  Dawn Trembath represents a growing business type, social entrepreneurship, and directs the Fourth Sector Cluster Industry Initiative.  Jason Hartley and his partner developed 24 7 Hunting TV.  This unique site utilizes video and internet streaming to bring a new form of “TV” to a specialized market.  Chris Padgett, head of Fusion3 Design, has developed an affordable 3D printer.  This product can give access to schools, nonprofits, small businesses, and private individuals so that 3D printing is in the grasp of many more people.
