DCCC Hires Allison as Academic Adviser

December 4, 2012 – The Advisement Center at Davidson County Community College recently hired Mandy Allison as academic adviser. Allison is responsible for advising and guiding students along their educational plan, which includes participating in orientation and teaching new students how to register at DCCC.

“I look forward to assisting students with their educational goals at DCCC, developing those into the careers, and watching their growth – as students and as people,” says Allison. “The academic advisers, along with the Office of Student Services and other offices on campus, work as a team at DCCC to play a vital role in the students’ planning of their education and their careers.”

Allison received an Associate of Arts in individual studies with a concentration in human services from the State University of New York-Alfred State College, and a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from SUNY Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome.
