Digital Accessibility Mission Statement
Davidson County Community College (DCCC) is committed to ensuring that information and communications technology (ICT) resources and services are accessible to everyone regardless of ability. We strive to enhance the experience of all users. To achieve these goals, DCCC is implementing a plan for accessibility.
The goal of the College is that online content meets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at the AA Level as established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

Ally Accessibility Tool
Ally is an accessibility checker found within Moodle. You may have noticed the gauges in your course. These are visuals to remind you that the Ally Accessibility Checker exists and is there to help you make your course as accessible as possible.
All videos should have captioning. When curating video for your courses, select only those that have accurate captions with punctuation included. When creating video, there are strategies and tools available to help. If you use a script for your video, you can upload the file to VidGrid to provide captions. VidGrid provides automated machine captions that take seconds to turn on. You can also easily edit your own captions.
