Adult High School Programs (AHS)
The Adult High School Program (AHS) is designed to allow students the opportunity to complete a high school diploma that mirrors a public school credential. The program is SACS accredited and is similar to a public high school program.
The program requires:
- 23 credits, including 17 core courses:
- 4 English
- 4 math
- 3 sciences
- 4 social sciences
- 1 health
- 1 technology
- 6 additional electives
- Students must pass an exit exam in order to graduate. Students may choose to take the Career Readiness Certificate or the College Placement Test as their exit exam.
Special Admission Requirements:
Assessment on the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE), students should score 9.0 or higher in the subject areas of reading, math and language. Attending an orientation is required to enroll. Students 16-17 years old must complete Admission of a Minor criteria. Please bring an official copy in a sealed envelope of all high school transcripts to orientation.
