Student Government Association (SGA)

Mission Statement/Description
The purpose of the SGA is to serve as the voice of the student body by promoting campus involvement, fostering leadership development, overseeing and assisting in the development of student clubs and organizations, and by acting as a liaison between student organizations and campus administration.

Welcome to DCCC from the SGA

On behalf of the student body, allow us to welcome you to Davidson County Community College.  It is our pleasure to serve as your SGA Executive Board.  We encourage you to get involved with any organizations that fulfill your specific needs while you attain your educational goals.  Here at DCCC we push the academic envelope by challenging you to perform at or above your potential.  Academics come first here; however, we do have many student organizations including academic, social, athletic, and service.  You will have the opportunity to learn skills that might not be taught in the classroom.

You are a part of the Student Government Association, and as a full-time or part-time student you can attend SGA Council meetings and participate in all activities sponsored by the SGA.  We are here to serve you.  Should you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to come see us in the Brooks Student Center first floor, room 118A or call us at 336.249.8186, ext. 6152.  Here at DCCC, we are creating a path to produce more than just college graduates but future leaders.  Once again, welcome to DCCC, and we hope you have a successful academic year.
