The Fitness Center is a state-of-the-art workout facility in the North Carolina Community College System. This Center provides faculty, staff, students, and alumni the opportunity to stay fit and healthy. Our equipment includes new Cybex pin-select weight training machines, treadmills, elliptical trainers, stair climbers, stationary and spin cycles, and a full free weight training area. A certified aerobics instructor and personal trainers are on staff to assist anyone in meeting their fitness goals. Group exercise classes are also offered free of charge to all students and staff.

Monday & Wednesday - Yoga 12 noon
Tuesday & Thursday - 30 min Abs 12 noon AND Boot Camp 4 p.m.
Monday-Thursday - Zumba 2 p.m.

Group Exercise Classes

Zumba - A fusion of Latin and Hip Hop dance styles.  The routines feature aerobic interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body.

Beginner’s BootCamp - Beginner’s BootCamp – A workout for any-body!  This is a total body workout designed for those who are new to exercise, or are getting back into fitness.  This gentle exercise program will get you started on the right track to achieve and maintain your fitness goals, regardless of your age or fitness level.  Recommended for all fitness levels.

BootCamp – Get ready for the ultimate total body workout!  This class will challenge your strength, agility and cardiovascular fitness.  Using interval training techniques switching between cardio endurance, strength and power drills this class is sure to move your current fitness level up, up and up!  Bring an extra towel to wipe up the sweat when you are done!

Yogurt – Rest & Relax with this class designed to improve your flexibility and posture.  This class will focus on breathing and relaxation.  Recommended for all fitness levels.


Intramurals
The College offers basketball and indoor soccer intramurals in the fall and spring semesters.  Summer intramural sports include only basketball Tuesday and Thursday, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.  Participation is open to all faculty, staff, and students.
