RE: Smoking Advisory
Please be advised that a number of safety concerns regarding students choosing to smoke along the service road:
- Weather is changing – it is now dark in the mornings and afternoons.
- Drivers traveling along the service road may not be able to see pedestrians walking, standing, or sitting on the roadside due to parked cars and heavy traffic flow.
- Students have been involved in accidents along the service road.
Given the safety concerns listed above, students are encouraged to avoid gathering along the service road at all times. However, students who choose to stand, sit, or walk along the service road to smoke do so at their own risk.

RE: Spring Semester Parking Advisory
The College will tow cars parked along curbs, along the service road, and in grass areas beginning Monday, January 11, 2010. If your car is towed, you may contact Security or Campus Resource Officers to determine its location.
Recently, additional parking spaces were added to the side of campus adjacent to the Mendenhall and Love Learning Resources buildings. To avoid towing, the College encourages students to park in marked, available spaces. Students may park in any available space (parking in a handicap space requires an official handicap parking permit).
Also, please remember that cars parked along the service road are subject to ticketing by the Highway Patrol.
Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
