What is the Digital Production Studio?                       
The Digital Production Studio (DPS) is a two workstation computer lab outfitted with multimedia equipment and software plus an in-house studio complete with green screen and lighting kit. The DPS is open for all students, faculty and staff to use. Funding for the DPS was made possible through a Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant and the DCCC Foundation.

Where is the DPS located?
The DPS is located in Room 110A on the first floor of the Grady E. Love Learning Resources Center on the Davidson Campus.

When can I use the DPS?
Individuals or classes can reserve specific times to use the studio at the reference desk. Otherwise, the DPS is available on a first-come, first-served basis during normal library operating hours.

What equipment is available?
Some DPS equipment may be checked out for 3 days with no renewals. Equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

90 Flip Ultra HD Video Cameras
7 Canon FS200 Camcorders
10 Olympus Digital Voice Recorders
4 Canon Vixia HD Camcorders
7 Tripods
2 Tabletop Studios
3 Yeti Microphones


Equipment available for in-house use:
Two HP Scanjet G4050 Flatbed Scanners
Two 320 GB External Hard Drives
One Lowel DV Creator Lighting Kit (may be taken to other campus locations)
One Green and one Blue Screen (ready to use in studio)

Both DPS workstations come equipped with Adobe Creative Suite 4 Master Collection which includes the programs listed below.
