Mission Statement/Description
DCCC offers employers in the College service area the opportunity to improve job-specific skills of their employees in the areas of reading, math, or communication. Customized curriculum can be developed to teach the exact skills that the company needs for their employees to have.

Students must complete an assessment and an orientation

How can I schedule a workplace program for my company?
Contact Terri Yates at 336.249.8186, ext. 4580 to set up a planning session with company representatives to assess the skills the company is interested in the employees improving.

How much will the workplace basic skills classes cost my company?
There is no charge for the curriculum development or instruction of the classes. Companies are encouraged to give employees who participate in the workplace programs incentives for participation, attendance and achievement.

Where will the classes be held?
DCCC prefers to offer the classes on site at the company with whom we are working. However, if adequate facilities are not available for the classes, they can be offered at the College or one of the community satellite campuses.

Can my company have GED or English as a Second Language classes at the company site?
GED and ESL classes may be offered at a company or business if there is sufficient interest from employees. This can be arranged by contacting the Terri Yates at 336.249.8186, ext. 4580.
