Folk Instruments
The building of the Appalachian Lap Dulcimer will be the primary focus of this class. It is a simple instrument to build and play. It is a great deal of fun to build and one can take pride not only in building a beautiful instrument but also in carrying on a tradition from this area. If your heart is set on another instrument such as a native mountain banjo, or a Celtic harp, arrangements may be made to build such instruments. Stained Glass: Mosaic Tray
Students will learn from the different types of glass available which is the best for mosaic work and how to choose, score, break, and grind glass appropriate for the pattern. They will tesserae (small pieces) to the try or trays brought to class. Tray or trays should already be painted to the desired color. Puppy Obedience
