Mission Statement/Description
Adult Basic Education (ABE) helps students improve skills in the areas of reading, math, writing, grammar, or life skills. The program also includes writing checks, reading forms, completing applications, etc. The program is open to anyone age 18 and over who needs to review in any of these subject areas.

Special Admission Requirements
Students must complete an assessment on the Test of Adult Basic Education and an orientation to the program.

How do I know if Adult Basic Education (ABE) is the program in which I should enroll?
ABE can work with students ages 18 and older in any subject area in which the student needs assistance. Students can work on skills for the job through such programs as WorkKeys and KeyTrain certification in the ABE program. Students can also learn to read through this program.

How much does the program cost?

There is no charge and the books are provided free as well.

How long will it take to finish the ABE program?
That will vary depending on how many subjects the student needs to review and the level at which the student begins.

How does the program work?
Students are assessed when they enter and begin in materials, which are at an appropriate level for them to study. The program offers self-paced and group instruction.
