The LAC provides a testing service for students who need to take their tests outside of the classroom. Students wishing to test in the LAC must make initial arrangements through their instructors. All students who test in the LAC are encouraged to make testing appointments in order to guarantee a seat in designated testing space.

Student Testing Policies
• Students must show a picture ID (driver’s license, school ID, work ID) before taking a test.
• Students must leave all book bags and other classroom materials away from the testing area while completing a test.
• Cell phones must be turned off and placed away from testing area
• No talking is allowed during testing.
• If a student is 10 minutes late for a testing appointment, the test must be rescheduled.
• Students must finish a test in one sitting. Instructor approval for taking a test in segments must be indicated on the Testing Cover Sheet (completed by the instructor).
• Questionable behavior (cheating) will be documented on a student’s test. Accusations will not be made – rather specific behaviors will be noted and the student will be allowed to read.
• LAC staff will follow the instructor’s wishes regarding the administration of each test.
• If specific testing instructions are not found on a test or if there is a question or concern regarding a test, the LAC staff will attempt to contact the instructor. In the event the instructor cannot be reached, the student may either wait for clarification or reschedule.
• All testing activity is documented in LAC.
• All tests are housed in a locked filing cabinet in the LAC until they are completed and picked up by instructors.
• If a student arrives to test close to closing time for the LAC, he/she will be presented with two options:
• Complete as much as possible in the office hours remaining
• Reschedule
