Welcome to the Office of Academic Advising webpage! The College’s academic programs are organized around three Schools of Learning: General Studies and Academic Support; Business, Engineering, and Technical Studies; and Health, Wellness, and Public Safety. Three advisors are assigned to each school of learning. The office also offers advising for the Scholars of Global Distinction Program; transitional advising for students interested in transferring to a four-year institution, and coordinates the Men Moving Mountains (3M) male mentoring program. Students are assigned an advisor based on their major and the advisor’s program expertise. Advisors provide guidance to students throughout their matriculation to ensure they reach their educational goals.

Advisors are knowledgeable about the College, its academic departments, policies and procedures and are accessible to students during office hours by appointment, e-mail, scheduled drop-in sessions, telephone, and during designated walk-in hours. Information about the office is also available through social media.

Student success is our priority. Advisors take a proactive approach to establishing meaningful relationships with students and providing them with information that encourages persistence and progress towards degree completion. Click on the “Meet Your Advisor” link above for specific information about advisors and their programs.

We look forward to helping you Storm Toward Success!

Sincerely,

Ron Giddings, Director
