Show DCCC Students That You Care
Did you know that you can make a contribution to the Davidson County Community College Foundation by doing something that you already do? The best thing is it will not cost you any additional money!
Emerging Needs Fund are gifts that the Foundation can use to support and enhance College programs and services and to assist students in a variety of ways. Scholarships, the athletics program, emergency assistance, international education, and the scholar’s program are a few examples that the Emerging Needs Fund supports. You can contribute to this fund by doing the following:
- Good Search
A penny, however, is the first step to help DCCC students. Each time you search the Internet using GoodSearch.com as your search engine, you will contribute a penny to the DCCC Foundation. It is simple to do. When you enter the website for the first time, designate your favorite charity by typing in Davidson County Community College Foundation where indicated. Once the DCCC Foundation has been entered, it will be recalled automatically the next time you conduct a search. Each hit will direct a penny to the Foundation, and there is no limit on how much can be raised annually to help our students. Funds generated will be directed to the Emerging Needs Fund to support students and program and service enrichment.

- GoodShop
Each time you shop online, use GoodShop. More than 100 great stores including Target, ebay, Macy's, PetSmart, Staples, Barnes & Noble, and Wal-Mart have teamed up with GoodSearch to offer this. It’s simple to do. The next time you're looking for a new book, computer, DVD, pair of shoes or clothing, go to GoodShop first. Then designate the DCCC Foundation as your charity, click on the store's logo from the GoodShop site, and then shop as you normally would online. There is no username or password required. You'll get the same great prices, but every time you place an order, you'll be supporting the Foundation with donations that average around 3% of the sale, but can exceed 20%!

- Food Lion MVP Card
Another way that you can make a contribution to the DCCC Foundation is by shopping at Food Lion. Each time you shop and use your MVP card, the Foundation will be credited with a percentage of your purchases. You may link your MVP card number by selecting Davidson County Com. College Foundation as your charity to support by visiting the store’s website at Foodlion.com. Up to $1,400 per year will be donated to the DCCC Foundation. Funds received from this program also will be directed to the Emerging Needs Fund.

The Board of Trustees approved offering an intercollegiate athletic program in June 2007. The College is part of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), competing in women’s volleyball and men’s basketball programs. The DCCC Foundation Athletics Program Fund was established to support the initiative. You can help by making a contribution directly to the fund or by shopping online:
- NJCAA Shopping
Visit the NJCAA website at www.njcaa.org and click on the NJCAA Shopping Mall. Choose from over 100 stores where you would like to shop, click on North Carolina, choose Davidson County Community College, and finally, click on the DCCC Athletic Department. The retail company will donate a percentage of your online order back to the College’s athletic program to support operations and growth opportunities. Online orders from the participating retailer must be accessed through the NJCAA Shopping Mall in order for proceeds to be directed to DCCC.
