Mrs. Steven Michael


Mrs Sarah MichaelSarah Miranda Frey and Steven Lee Michael were married Saturday, May 14, at Reeds Baptist Church near Lexington.

The couple exchanged vows at a 2 p.m. ceremony before the Rev. Morris Hollifield.

Organist Ava Charles and soloists Tonya Baity, Randy Long and Jerry Michael presented a program of music.

The bride is the daughter of Stephen and Laura Frey of Lexington and the granddaughter of H. Richard and Darlene Frey of Manheim, Pa., and the late Hugh and Marie Hanes, who were residents of Lexington. She is a 2001 graduate of West Davidson High School and a 2004 graduate of Davidson County Community College. She is employed at Lexington Pediatric Clinic.

The groom is the son of Ken and Sherri Michael of Lexington and the grandson of Bobby and Maxine Michael of Lexington, Carol Deitrick of Winston-Salem and the late John Richard Deitrick. He is a 2000 graduate of West Davidson High School and is employed at Michael's Construction.

The bride's father escorted her.

The groom's father served as best man.

Phillip Michael, the groom's brother, Josh Frey, the bride's brother, Michael Leonard, the bride's brother-in-law and Matthew Higgins were ushers. All reside in Lexington except the groom's brother, who lives in Sneads Ferry.

Heather Leonard of Lexington, the bride's sister, was matron of honor.

Lindsay Jo Martin of Lexington, the bride's cousin, was maid of honor.

Kendra Swicegood of Wilmington, and Taylor Hanes, the bride's cousin, and Jennifer Hargraves, both of Lexington, were bridesmaids.

April Goforth of Lexington, Brandi Paquin of Lexington, the bride's cousin, and Jennifer Michael of Newark, Ohio, the groom's cousin, were honorary bridesmaids.

Keeli Beck and Morgan Black, the bride's cousins, were flower girls. Zachary Michael, the groom's cousin, was ringbearer.

Ann Beck and Jan Nichols, the bride's cousins, registered guests. Shelia Hanes, the bride's aunt, and Jo Black, the bride's cousin, distributed programs. Jacob and Joshua Robertson, the groom's cousins, distributed birdseed bags and bubbles. Charlotte Beck directed the wedding.

After a trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the couple will make their home in Lexington.

Reception

A reception was held in the fellowship hall after the wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wood, Jean Purvis, Edna Michael and Denise Robertson assisted in serving.

Rehearsal Dinner

The groom's parents hosted a dinner at Reeds Baptist Church's gazebo on Friday, May 13. The meal was catered by Tricia's Catering.

Bridesmaids' Luncheon

Shelia Hanes, the bride's aunt, and Taylor Hanes, the bride's cousin, hosted a luncheon April 23 at the home of Shelia Hanes.
