 Leesa Dawn Vernon and Shawn Andrew Keller were married Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007 , at Freedom Baptist Church .
The couple exchanged vows in a 6 p.m. ceremony before Preacher Clyde Akers.
Music director Rachel Surratt and soloist Catrina Keller, the groom's sister, presented a program of music.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Connie Vernon of Lexington. She is the granddaughter of Charles and Phyllis Bess and Robert Tysinger, all of Lexington, Nan Vernon of Winston-Salem and the late I.L. Vernon. She is a 2005 graduate of Central Davidson High School and is attending Davidson County Community College and plans to attend Olympic College in Washington state.
The groom is the son of Greg and Loretta Keller of Salisbury . He is the grandson of Gerald and Brenda Keller of Concord and John and Peggy Stelzer of Lima , Ohio . He is a 2005 graduate of South Rowan High School and is serving in the U.S. Navy.
The bride's father escorted her.
The groom's father served as best man.
Calvin Vernon and Michael Vernon, the bride's brothers, both of Lexington, and Gerald Keller of Concord , the groom's grandfather, were ushers.
Meredith Vernon of Lexington, the bride's sister-in-law, was matron of honor.
Caroline Clark, Leah Chesson and Samantha Souza were bridesmaids.
Marissa Sour was flower girl.
Zachary Vernon, the bride's nephew, was ringbearer.
Connie Crouse registered guests.
Mary Beth Frank distributed programs.
Nancy Estep directed the wedding.
After a trip to Washington state, they will make their home there while in the Navy.
Reception
The bride's parents and John and Susan Cahill hosted a reception at the fellowship hall of the church following the ceremony. Sheila Shipton, Tammy Frank, Sylvia Darnell and Meredith Cahill assisted in serving.
Rehearsal Dinner
The groom's parents hosted a dinner in Salisbury Feb. 23.
Bridesmaids' Luncheon
The bride's mother hosted a luncheon at Miss Ruby's Tea Room on Feb. 17.
