Mary Katherine Sprinkle and Shawn William Hackett were married Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006 at Triad Baptist Church in Kernersville.
The couple exchanged vows in a 2 p.m. ceremony before Pastors Rob Decker and Thomas Todd.
Trumpeter Jerry Moore, organist/pianist Kristain Starr, soloist Michael Todd and Kathy and Dwayne Hines, singing a duet, presented a program of music.
The bride is the daughter of Susan and Michael Todd of Lexington and Neil Lynch of Wallburg. She is the granddaughter of James and Nell Sprinkle of Winston-Salem, Betty and Thomas Todd of Lexington and Fern Lynch of Wallburg. She is a 2003 graduate of Ledford High School and a 2006 graduate of Davidson County Community College. She is an esthetician and works at Belk of Hanes Mall in Winston-Salem for Prescriptives Cosmetics.
The groom is the son of John Hackett of Kernersville and Mary Hackett of Winston-Salem. He is the grandson of Donald and Nancy Hackett of Winston-Salem and Bonnie Fulp of Mocksville. He is a 2003 graduate of Glenn High School, a 2004 graduate of Nashville Auto Diesel College and works for Conway Freight in Kernersville as a diesel mechanic.
The bride's father and James Sprinkle, her maternal grandfather, escorted her.
Robbie Mabe of Greenville, the groom's cousin, served as best man.
Groomsmen were the bride's father, Ryan Hacket, the bride's brother and Wayne Meeks, all of Kernersville, Jonathan Todd of Lexington, the bride's brother, and Brian Hawks of Winston-Salem.
Matthew Flynn of Wilmington and Daniel Cassidy of Kernersville were ushers.
Nicole Martin of High Point was maid of honor.
Morgan Lynch of Wallburg, the bride's sister, Candace Mabe of Winston-Salem, the groom's cousin, Whitney Clifton of Walkertown, Jessica Honaker of Rural Hall and Jennifer Clodfelter of Midway were bridesmaids.
Carly Jolley of Pinnacle, the groom's cousin, was junior bridesmaid.
Haley Jolley of Pinnacle, the groom's cousin, and Haley Hawks of Winston-Salem were flower girls.
Paxton Berry of Winston-Salem was ringbearer.
Jessica Holbrooke of Greensboro registered guests.
Heather Hopkins of Kernersville distributed programs.
Kelli Holbrook of Walkertown distributed scrolls and bubbles.
Shelia Stanley directed the wedding.
After a trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple will make their home in Winston-Salem.
Reception
The bride's parents hosted a reception at the church following the ceremony. Ann Gaunce was the director for the event.
Teresa Keaton, Ashlyn Hammett, Renee Stoneman, Lynn Key and Lisa Alspaugh, the bride's cousins, Penny Roopchan and Tammy Jolley, the groom's aunts, and Lee Jones assisted in serving.
Rehearsal Dinner
The groom's parents hosted a dinner at the church on Sept. 15.
