Shannon Christine Biggie and Robert James Thomason were married Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005, at Childress Vineyards.
The couple exchanged vows in a 6:45 p.m. ceremony before the Rev. Bert Williams.
Guitarist and soloist Ken Davis presented a program of music.
The bride is the daughter of Diane Stivers of Springhill, Fla., and the granddaughter of Frank and Lillie Ibbitson of Port Richey, Fla. She is a 1992 graduate of Grace Christian School and a 1998 graduate of Guilford Technical Community College. She is on the President's List at Catawba College, where she plans to graduate in December 2006 with a bachelor's degree in business management. She is employed as a dental hygienist with Dr. Jerry Laws, DDS.
The groom is the son of Randy and Susan Thomason of Lexington and the grandson of Jim and Alice Thomason of Lexington. He is a 1990 graduate of West Davidson High School and attended Davidson County Community College. He is employed as a sales manager with Alliance Food Service.
The bride's grandfather escorted her.
The groom's father served as best man. Jonathan Thomason, the groom's brother, was usher.
Carly Nibert, the bride's sister, was matron of honor.
Ashley Thomason, the groom's sister, was maid of honor.
Cameron Thomason and Shane Hutcheson registered guest.
After a cruise to Cozumel, Grand Caymen and Key West, the couple will make their home in Lexington.
Reception The couple's families hosted a reception at the winery following the ceremony.
