If you are a veteran and this is the first time you will be using your VA Educational Benefits you will need to complete form 22-1990 Application for VA Education Benefits" and provide a copy of your DD-214 or NOBE (Notice of Basic Eligibility) and any paperwork that you have concerning additional "kicker" payments.
If you are a veteran and you have used your Educational Benefits at another college you will need to complete form 22-1995 "Request for Change of Program or Place of Training".

22-5490 "Application for Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance" and provide a copy of your birth certificate.

How do I complete my VA file at DCCC?
To complete your VA file with DCCC you will need to provide the Admissions Office with copies of transcripts from your high school and any college that you have attended. Provide copies of your application and DD-214 or NOBE.

Is there a limit to the number of times can I change my major?
No, there is no limit. This form must be in your VA file before you can be certified for credit hours that apply to the new program.
Must I be enrolled in a degree program to receive benefits?
