Through support of generous donors the DCCC Foundation is able to offer numerous scholarships. Many are based on financial need and students may be eligible for consideration simply by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Steps to Applying
- Complete the FAFSA online www.fafsa.gov. Be sure to list DCCC as a college.
- Print the DCCC General Scholarship application and complete it legibly using blue or black ink. Click here to print and identify the scholarships for which you wish to apply and record the name(s) of the scholarships on the application.
- Submit the application and other supporting documents required for the scholarships to the DCCC Financial Aid Office by March 31, 2010.

Golden LEAF Scholars Program
Description
The Golden LEAF Foundation provides grants of up to $700 for degree seeking students and up to $200 for occupational education students. These greats are need and merit based and awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis. Selection will also be based on the effect of the decline in the tobacco industry and declining economy on his or her family.
Eligibility Requirements
- Be a permanent resident of an eligible county
- Show financial need
- Must be enrolled at least half time for full award
- Preference given to students adversely effected by decline in tobacco industry
Applications can be picked up in the Financial Aid Office or found on CFNC Golden Leaf.
