The application for employment procedure requires applicants to submit the following:
The letter of application is used to ensure that employees are proficient in the English language. Faculty members who teach courses in languages other than English will be asked to provide a written sample in that language.
Official or unofficial transcripts (from a regionally accredited institution), showing college courses you have completed and degrees you have earned.
NOTE: Davidson County Community College does not accept or maintain resumes. Only information provided on the Application for Employment form will be considered during the initial screening process. Upon the request of the College, the applicant may be asked to provide additional detailed information which does not appear on the Application for Employment form. Applicants will be contacted if they are selected for an interview. The interview process serves several purposes, one of which is to ensure that faculty and staff are proficient in oral communication. Accreditation criteria require that faculty must be proficient in oral communication in the language in which courses will be taught.
The College reserves the right to run criminal background checks on applicants for selected positions.
