How to Apply for Employment (Read all instructions)

The College is in the process of transitioning to an online application. However, this process has not been 100% completed. Full-time and some part-time job openings are set up to only accept an online Employment Application; however, there are a few part-time job openings available for submission of the paper format of the Employment Application. Resumes are not accepted.

The Employment Application process requires applicants to submit three items by the deadline in order for an application to be considered complete and to be forwarded to the Search Committee for review:

  1. Letter of application that

    1. identifies the position for which you are applying;
    2. describes your interest in the position; and
    3. states your qualifications related to position responsibilities, requirements, and College purpose, vision, and organizational competencies.

    The letter of application is used to ensure that employees are proficient in the English language. Faculty members who teach courses in languages other than English will be asked to provide a written sample in that language.

  2. Official or unofficial transcripts (from a regionally accredited institution), showing college courses you have completed and degrees you have earned (maybe submitted electronically)

  3. A complete online Employment Application (paper format only for a few part-time openings)

Since, the College does not accept or maintain resumes, only information provided on the Employment Application will be considered during the initial screening process. Upon the request of the College, the applicant may be asked to provide additional detailed information which does not appear on the application.  Applicants will be contacted if they are selected for an interview by the search committee. The interview process serves several purposes, one of which is to ensure that faculty and staff are proficient in oral communication. Accreditation criteria require that faculty must be proficient in oral communication in the language in which courses will be taught.

College policy requires a criminal background check to be completed on candidates recommended for hiring in full-time positions and some part-time positions.   Federal law requires employers to verify the identity and eligibility of all persons hired to work in the United States.

Verification of Identity and Employment Eligibility - English

If you have questions about the application process, please call the Human Resources Office at 336.224.4540 or you may send an e-mail to: hr@davidsonccc.edu
