How to Apply for Employment (Read all instructions)
The College now accepts online employment applications for all full-time and part-time job openings. Please note that DCCC does not accept resumes.
The Employment Application process does require applicants to submit three items by the posting deadline in order for an application to be considered complete and to be forwarded to the Search Committee for review:
- Letter of application that
- identifies the position for which you are applying;
- describes your interest in the position; and
- states your qualifications related to position responsibilities, requirements, and College purpose, vision, and organizational competencies.
The letter of application is used to ensure that applicants are proficient in the English language. Faculty candidates who teach courses in languages other than English will be asked to provide a written sample in that language.
- Official or unofficial transcripts (from a regionally accredited institution), showing college courses you have completed and degrees you have earned (maybe submitted electronically). Applicants who attended educational institutions outside the United States must have their transcripts evaluated by World Education Services (WES) to determine qualifications prior to being given consideration for a vacant position.
- A complete online Employment Application.
The College does not accept or maintain resumes - only information provided on the Employment Application is considered during the initial screening process. Upon the request of the College, the applicant may be asked to provide additional detailed information which does not appear on the application. Applicants will be contacted if they are selected for an interview by the search committee. The interview process serves several purposes, one of which is to ensure that candidates are proficient in oral communication. Accreditation criteria require that faculty must be proficient in oral communication in the language in which courses will be taught.
College policy requires a criminal background check to be completed on candidates recommended for hiring in full-time positions and some part-time positions. Federal law requires employers to verify the identity and eligibility of all persons hired to work in the United States.
Verification of Identity and Employment Eligibility - English
Verificación de la elegibilidad de la identidad y del empleo - español
