How to Register for a Distance Education Curriculum Course
We appreciate your interest in our distance education courses, and we want to make your registration process as convenient as possible. Curriculum registration procedures and dates vary each semester. To access the Spring 2007 registration calendar, click here.

Registration Process for Degree-Seeking Students
Students wishing to take online or hybrid curriculum courses as part of their plan of study toward a degree, diploma, or certificate may register in person, via email exchange, or over the telephone with their academic advisor according to the posted registration schedule each semester. The Admissions Office can provide students with advisor information as needed.

Registration Process for Non Degree-Seeking (Special Credit) Students
Special Credit students wishing to take an online or hybrid curriculum course without pursuing a degree, diploma, or certificate, must complete an Application for Admission and meet placement requirements for the course(s) for which they wish to register. Generally, special credit students register later in the registration period and should refer to the posted registration schedule each semester for dates. Due to the volume of telephone calls the College receives during peak registration periods, students may experience some delays. In order to expedite all requests, the College offers two ways to register.

In-Person Registration
Go to the designated Special Credit Registration Center (Davidson Campus) or to the Davie Campus Community Building to register on designated registration days.

Telephone Registration

Call Sabra Rice at 336.249.8186, ext. 6234, or the Davie Campus at 336.224.4844 to register during designated registration periods.

Accommodations for Disabilities

Persons who need accommodation due to a documented disability should contact the Rehabilitation Counselor, Mendenhall 202, at least two weeks prior to the beginning of classes.

Tax Relief Act

The registration process enables the College to comply with and easily capture the information required under the Tax Relief Act of 1997. The Tax Relief Act includes higher education tax incentives with provisions for the Hope Scholarship Credit program and the Lifetime Learning Credit program.

Refund Policy
A full refund of tuition and fees is granted when the student officially withdraws from a course prior to the first course meeting or when the course is cancelled by the College. Except for self-supporting and contact hour courses, a student who officially withdraws from a course prior to the 10% date of the course will receive a 75% refund, but fees will not be refunded. No refunds are granted for students who withdraw after the 10% date.
