The ConnectCard Accounts: Deposits and Withdrawals: General Information:

 

What accounts are on The ConnectCard?
ConnectCard FLEX account and ConnectCard Bookstore account. 

How are the accounts used?
The ConnectCard FLEX account can be used in all sales locations on campus and can also be used at participating off-campus locations. The Bookstore account can only be used at the campus Bookstore.

Which accounts can be used at off-campus merchants?
Only the ConnectCard FLEX account is accepted at participating off-campus locations. Watch for announcements of new merchants to this program. Bookstore dollars are not accepted off campus.

Do I lose any funds if its not spent by the end of the school year?
You do not lose FLEX or Bookstore dollars; however unused Bonus dollars awarded to your FLEX account will expire each June 30.  Bonus dollars are not refundable.  Unexpended balances on the ConnectCard accounts are only refunded upon graduation or withdrawal from Davidson County Community College. A $5 processing fee is charged to close accounts.

If I go to an on-campus dining location, will the FLEX account be automatically spent first?
Yes, followed by any Bonus dollars that have been added to your account.

Can I withdraw cash from my ConnectCard accounts?
No. 

Where can I make deposits to my ConnectCard account?
There is a Value Transfer Station (VTS) on the first floor of the J. Bryan Brooks Student Center. Here you can check your current ConnectCard account balance or make a deposit using cash or credit card. This deposit immediately posts to your account, and there is no minimum deposit requirement. You can also make deposits (cash, check, money order, and credit card) at the ConnectCard Office (J. Bryan Brooks Student Center) personally, by mail (no cash), or by credit card over the phone. There is a $20 minimum deposit required when making deposits through the ConnectCard Office.

Can I withdraw funds from my ConnectCard account?
The only time funds can be withdrawn from the ConnectCard account is when a student officially withdraws or graduates from Davidson County Community College. Any remaining balance on the FLEX or Bookstore accounts will be refunded by check, less a $5 processing fee. Bonus dollars are not refundable. 

Where can I use funds from the ConnectCard FLEX account?
It can be used at campus dining locations, the College Bookstore, Love Learning Resource Center , and the Business Office. It can also be used at participating off-campus locations.

What other features are available?
Access to cultural and other events, material and book checkout in the Love Learning Resource Center .

Do all vending and copy machines have card readers installed?
Not all, but many vending (drink and snack) machines have card readers. This feature will be available in 2007.

Do the vending and copy machines also accept coin and bills?
Yes.

How much does it cost to get my new ConnectCard?
The first card is free. Replacement cards cost $10 each.

What do I do if I have lost my ConnectCard?
Always report a missing card to the ConnectCard Office at 336.249.8186, ext. 6340 as soon as you are aware that your card has been lost and/or stolen; then visit the ConnectCard Office during office hours to receive a replacement card.

How much does it cost to replace a lost, stolen or damaged ConnectCard?
There is a $10 replacement fee for lost or stolen cards.
