Mission
The mission of Davidson County Community College’s Advisement Center is to guide, serve and support students by partnering with academic departments and support services, to promote diverse educational experiences, and to foster success and responsible citizenship.
Purpose
- To create a seamless admission and advising process
- To improve retention and completion rates
- To improve academic performances of students enrolled at DCCC
Goal of the Advisement Center
To provide advising which includes the following:
- Direction in clarifying career and life goals
- Assistance in helping develop educational plans suited to career and educational goals
- Provide students with appropriate interpretation and understanding of program requirements
- Assistance in developing decision-making skills
- Inform students of all available resources that will enhance their education
- Monitor students’ academic progress toward their degree
- Assistance in preparing students for graduation
- Direction for students preparing to transfer

Monday & Tuesday 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m
Wednesday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
