New Students – Summer/Fall 2012 Registration
Orientation is only available for students who have applied, met placement requirements and been accepted to their program of study. Please contact Admissions 336.249.8186 if you are unsure of your status.
NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION (Required):
Students admitted to the College are required to attend a New Student Orientation session BEFORE making an appointment with an advisor to register for classes.
Students are encouraged to attend the earliest orientation session possible as classes fill up quickly! Please arrive at orientation at least 30 minutes early to allow for check in time.
- New Student Orientation is important to student success and achieving educational goals because it provides helpful information regarding College policies, processes, and student support services.
- Students should bring their personal calendars with them to orientation.
- Orientation lasts approximately two hours.
- In order to provide a distraction free learning environment, orientation is limited to adults only.
- Please arrive 30 minutes early to allow for check in time. Students who arrive late may not be permitted to enter.
Online Orientation (for DISTANCE STUDENTS ONLY): Distance Learning Students should communicate with their Admissions Counselor (As listed below) and will be sent instructions through e-mail concerning the online Orientation.

ADMISSIONS DEADLINES: The Admissions process MUST be complete by this deadline in order to be eligible to register for classes.
- Summer Classes - Deadline May 18
- Fall Classes - Deadline August 1
Students who apply after the admissions deadline will be applying for the upcoming terms.
REGISTRATION & ADVISEMENT APPOINTMENTS:
New students will make an advisement and registration appointment during the orientation process.
ORIENTATION DATES:
Orientation dates will be mailed to students with their admission letter. The admission letter will include information on how to register for an orientation session.
$ PAYMENT DEADLINES:
- Tuition and Fees for Summer classes must be paid by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30th.
- Tuition and Fees for Fall classes must be paid by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 8th.
Students may be DROPPED FROM CLASSES for nonpayment.

Financial Aid Information:
- Apply for Financial Aid (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov
- FAFSA Priority Deadline:
- Summer deadline - May 1
- Fall deadline - June 1
Additional supporting Financial Aid documentation must be submitted within 2 weeks of the deadlines above.
Students who submit a FAFSA after the deadline are responsible for paying tuition, fees, books and supplies out of pocket.
