Mission Statement
The Therapeutic Massage curriculum prepares graduates to work in direct client care settings to provide manipulation, methodical pressure, friction, and kneading of the body for maintaining wellness or treating problems related to stress, chronic over-use issues, and/or soft tissue damage. Courses include human anatomy & physiology, ethical/legal issues, nutrition, and business practices as well as instruction in various massage modalities. Employment opportunities include hospitals, rehabilitation centers, health departments, spas, health and sports clubs, and private practice. Graduates may be eligible to take the National Certification for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork examination for licensure.
Special Admission Requirements
Enrollment in the program is limited. Acceptance into the program of study will be based upon criteria established by the College.
