Mission Statement
This program is designed to provide firefighters with technical and professional knowledge to make decisions regarding fire protection for both public and private sectors. It also provides a sound foundation for continuous higher learning in fire protection, administration, and management.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to be a certified firefighter before entering the program?
No, but the degree is designed to provide a current firefighter with the knowledge and skills required to move into a supervisory or management role within the fire department. To be successful in the program, the student needs to pursue firefighter training, offered through our Continuing Education division.
