Birth-Kindergarten Education from Catawba College

Catawba College offers a bachelor’s degree completion program on the campus of DCCC for North Carolina Community College graduates with an A.A.S. Degree, Early Childhood Associate major. Our first cohort successfully began their studies in January 2010 and we will launch a new cohort in August 2010.

Tuition is comparable to North Carolina public universities and financial aid is available.  Classes meet in our unique block format that allows students to enroll full-time and complete one course per month.  The bachelor’s degree can be completed in four semesters.

For additional information, contact the School of Evening and Graduate Studies, Catawba College, 704.637.4772, visit www.catawba.edu/eveningandgraduatestudies, or email ebolick@catawba.edu or ksetliff@catawba.edu.

Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Catawba College

We are now ready to extend our offerings to the Business Administration degree for students who have completed the A.A.S. degree in the following areas: Accounting, Business Administration, and Human Resources.
Based on the typical courses in the A.A.S. programs in these fields, students should be able to transfer 52-60 semester hours from DCCC and complete the bachelor’s degree with an additional 60-68 semester hours of study.  Some of the special features on our program are:

  1. Most, if not all, of the classes will be offered on the DCCC campus.
  2. Students enrolled on a full-time basis (12 s.h.) receive the NC Legislative Tuition Grant (currently $925 per semester) for NC residents attending private colleges in the state.
  3. Tuition costs per semester ($3624 for 12 s.h.) minus the NCLTG ($925) make the tuition for Catawba’s program ($2699) comparable to the cost of attending NC four- year public universities.
  4. Financial aid is available.
  5. Our unique block format allows you to take one course at a time and complete 4 to 5 courses per semester.
