The GED program is a high school equivalency program that prepares adults to take the General Education Development Test (GED).
The GED test assesses academics in the following areas:
- language arts - writing
- language arts - reading
- social studies
- science
- mathematics
Once a student has successfully passed all five sections of the GED Test, they are awarded the GED, the High School Diploma Equivalency, issued by the State Board of Community Colleges.
There is no charge for the preparation classes; however, there is a one time $25.00 fee for the GED test. The GED program has a student-centered classroom environment that focuses on individuals' needs. The instructors bring a wide variety of experience.
Students must be 18 years old and must attend an orientation session before starting the course. Registration for the class will occur during the orientation session. |
