Safe Driving Program: 4-Hour Defensive Driving Course

Safe Driving Courses
Davidson County Community College offers Defensive Driving courses in cooperation with the National Safety Council and the District Attorney of Davidson and Davie Counties. The registration fee is $55 for a four-hour course and $95 for an eight-hour course.

Defensive Driving (4 hours)
This is a four-hour course for eligible individuals who have been ticketed for speeding or other minor traffic infractions.

Attitudinal Dynamics of Driving (8 hours)
This is an eight-hour course for the repeat traffic offender or driver with numerous traffic offenses as recommended by the District Attorney. The course teaches students to understand how their driving results from choices they make and that the responsibility for safe driving is their own.
