Mission Statement
The goal of the welding program is to train future welders in Stick, MIG, TIG, and oxyacetylene welding processes. Upon completion of the program a student should be able to apply these welding procedures to various metals, in various positions, and weld different shapes (plate, pipe, and tubing).

What do welders do?
Welders assemble and create items from raw parts.

Where do welders work?
Welders work in autobody shops welding body panels and frames, fabrications shops creating custom parts for customers, and on large construction sites welding structural steel together.

What is the pay for a welder?
The starting pay for a welder is between $10 and $14 per hour depending on the type of welding and the company. Many experienced welders will make $20 or more per hour in certain areas of the country.
