Mission Statement
The purpose of the Computer Technology area is to provide lifelong learning opportunities and educational services to prepare individuals for careers and professional and academic advancement in computer related fields such as computer programming, network design and implementation, information systems, and hardware/software support.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the certificate degree work?
Most of the program is completely on-line however students may need to visit campus to complete labs, mid-terms, and final exams. Students may also test at an approved testing center such as another community college, college, or public library. Students may need to purchase software programs to complete the course work. Some software programs may be provided by the instructor.
Is it possible to receive credit for work experience?
Yes. Students with demonstrated IT experience AND industry certifications may apply to take a challenge examination for most courses. Students with successful challenge examinations will be given course credit.
When is the Business & Computer Coaching Center open?
The Business & Computer Coaching Center is located in the Finch Building, Room 102. It is open during the following hours:
Monday - Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 9:000 p.m.
Friday 8:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.
Can I use the Coaching Center on different days or hours?
Yes, by appointment only. There is no fee for this.
