Thomasville Education Center History

The Thomasville Education Center opened in July 2005 in a renovated firehouse at 305 Randolph Street. Both credit and non-credit courses are offered to those who find it convenient to take courses in Thomasville.

Community partners made the DCCC satellite center possible. Partners include Allied Contract Group Services, Bank of North Carolina, Carrier Transport, City of Thomasville, Davidson Vision, DCCC, Hill’s Farm and Garden Center, K-Mart, North State Communications, Professional Commercial Floor Covering, T. Austin Finch Foundation, Thomasville Furniture Industries, and Wal-Mart.

From Greensboro: take I-85 South to Exit 103. Turn right onto Highway 109 North/Randolph Street. The center is located in a former fire station.

From Salisbury: take I-85 North to Exit 103. Turn left onto Highway 109 North/Randolph Street.

From Winston-Salem: follow U.S. Hwy 52 South to Lexington Exit 92 for Highway 8, then take I-85 Business North. Take the Highway 109 South/Salem Street exit. Cross the railroad tracks in downtown Thomasville. Salem Street will become Randolph Street.
