Davidson County Community College is committed to offering programs that will enrich the educational experiences of students in the Davie public schools. The Student Leadership Academy is designed to engage students in the Davie County school system in activities that will afford them the opportunity to better understand the world in which they live and promote students’ awareness of their responsibilities in the classroom and in their communities.
The Academy is scheduled for June 16th - 20th, 2008 from 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Approximately 60 Davie County students rising seventh, eighth, and ninth graders will be brought to the Davie Campus. Various activities to include classroom exercises, field trip(s), video conferencing and much more!
Applications are available on the Davie Campus of DCCC and guidance offices at North Davie, South Davie and Ellis Middle Schools. Participants will be chosen based on recommendations from the schools. The application deadline is April 20.
