Improvements include a road widening project on a portion of Old Greensboro Road by the state Department of Transportation. The project will add a turning lane into campus and a traffic circle to improve traffic flow and increase safety.

The traffic circle is designed to create a continuous flow of traffic by allowing drivers to slow down as they enter and yield to other vehicles rather than coming to a full stop before making turns.

The DCCC road project will straighten and widened the main DCCC entrance of Old Greensboro Road to create two incoming lanes into the campus. This will improve the flow of traffic during early morning, midday, and late afternoon peak traffic
