What is cloud computing? Still yet, what role might it play at home, the office or the traveling professional? Applicable terms and concepts will be discussed to help the end user evaluate if such technology would provide benefit.

Students will use the Internet to locate information using valuable, reliable websites and discuss strategies for online research. Field trips (2) will enable students to review town and county histories, newspapers, and library research.

This course meets state requirements for certification as a Notary Public. Participants must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent. A convicted felon is not eligible to obtain a notary license in North Carolina. The textbook is required.

Kudzu Basket Weaving
Cherokee Indians enjoyed the benefits of the Kudzu vine beyond its’ initial use for erosion control. Students will enjoy seeing what this vine can do as they learn the craft of basket making. Each vine has a distinct “personality” and will yield a unique finished product.
