Two Triad community colleges are teaming up to offer a logistics management program.
Surry Community College and Davidson County Community Collegehave formed a partnership to help prepare students for careers in transportation and logistics jobs ranging from material handling foreman and transportation supervisor to traffic and warehousing managers. The logistics management concentration will be offered as part of the business administration associate’s degree program at Surry Community College.
“In the Piedmont Triad, there’s a real need and demand for a logistics management education,” said Mike Miller, Surry Community College’s dean of business, technologies and health sciences. “Companies are looking for that skill set.”
The concentration will require 69 credit hours to complete.
