Davidson County, NC -- Davidson County Community College students are going green for their careers.

They installed state-of-the art, energy efficient heating, air and insulation today. The "green" home is part of the college's efforts to preserve natural resources and help the environment.

"We always hear the classroom environment is great. But getting first-hand experience is even better. it's real life, real world and they take that with them in their careers," says heating and air conditioning instructor Bruce Bowman.

International students will live in the "green" home once it's finished.
