Students Walk The Runway To Model Some Unique Hair Styles

Lexington, NC -- Davidson County Community College found a unique way to not only honor our troops but showcase their talents.

The cosmetology and aesthetic students held their second annual hair extravaganza Friday. That's right, it's a big hair alert!

The pieces were a salute to anything from food, candy and history.

There were even celebrity impressions. One model made a very convincing Lady GaGa.

But you have to wonder, why big hair?

"It allows our students to use their creativity and to use the skills and ability that they've learned throughout the semester or semesters they've been here at the college," said Rose McDaniel with Davidson County Community College.

Students dawned hair pieces with the twin towers, wedding cakes and one model even had a pot of gold on her head.
