Those encouraging words came from Pastor Tony Barr of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in Wadesboro on Monday at Davidson County Community College during the first Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration. More than 70 people attended the program on the national observance day in Brinkley Gymnasium sponsored by a new club <\h>— the Black Culture Organization in conjunction with the Office of Student Life.

"No matter what happens don't let anyone kill your dream," Barr said. "Many people tried to stop King, but his dream still lives on today."
