Working with staff from the Lexington Area Chamber of Commerce, the Thomasville Area Chamber of Commerce, Bradley Personnel, Davidson County Community College, DavidsonWorks and other regional service providers, the companies are inviting business leaders and other stakeholders to meet and exchange information to make regional manufacturing businesses more efficient and competitive.
"We believe that our local manufacturing businesses can significantly benefit through collaboration and better access to advanced manufacturing and business improvement methodologies," said Jim Zoretich, president of CV Products.
"The intent of the initiative is to help both our businesses and our communities stay competitive and thrive," said Todd Douthit, manufacturing manager at PPG, where lean manufacturing principles have been in place for several years.
